Global Warming! How we can Help

After watching the documentary An Inconvenient Truth made by former Vice President Al Gore. My concerns about the world and the delicate state of it's welfare were confirmed. I have always been an advocate for the environment, but this goes beyond making a choice to fight for someting you believe in more than it is a fight for the survival of our daughters and sons that will grow up in a very scary world. A world with rising sea levels, floods, droughts, disease, and things we can't even begin to know the consequences of.

If you are a parent like me and you can honestly look at your child and feel proud to leave them the world the way it is now then you probably are not fit to be a parent. You are obviously not aware of your surroundings and live in a bubble of ignorance.

If you do anything at all, at least watch the movie and make your own judgments.

MegaRamp Riding by Ignition

Lately I have seen some insane skateboarding and a new trend towards MegaRamp riding. So sit back and watch this little five minute clip of the worlds best skateboarders and BMX Riders Kill a MegaRamp and bring it all to a new level.

Bob Burnquist grinds a rail then base jumps into the Grand Canyon

Bob Burnquist is by far one of my favorite ramp skaters and in this video clip you can see just how crazy and innovative he is when he uses a ramp to grind an insane rail into the grand canyon.

World's Highest Skateboard Ramp

The Worlds Highest Skateboard Ramp. Bob Burnquist's Backyard Mega Ramp cost $280,000 to build. The mega ramp is longer than a football field in length and needed over 400 sheets of plywood to construct. It even has a trapeze safety net so you don't die trying to ride it.

Some Ramp Builders Feedback!

Hello Brandon,

My son Bradley Jr. (9 years old) and my daughter Chelsie (7 years old) helped me put the ramp together. We did this by following your instruction guide. The ramp was completed in about 6 1/2 hours. The guide was very detailed and easy to follow. All of the lumber and plywood was cut and pre-drilled to perfection. This made our job so much more enjoyable. We enjoyed putting the ramp together as a family. My son is really into skateboarding. He loves the ramp and spends 2 to 3 hours a day skateboarding on it.

I will probably have to build a higher ramp when he gets a little older. My kids even helped me paint the exterior part of the ramp green. Your red logo looks real nice with this green back ground. We also applied the skate paint to the riding surface of the ramp. We are planning to put some landscaping around the ramp. We will be honored to send you some pictures.

Thank you,

Brad

You were a great help to me! we improvised a hair on the ramp but I'll send you some photos of it this week for your portfolio! lol! hope its worthy.... i love it, kind of small for bmx but im making it work! thanks, biscuit

Brandon,

My son Kiah has been having a great time on the half-pipe we built
this summer! His friend and mentor, Eric, provided expert help on
the actual construction, but he used your guide to do it!
Thank you so much for designing a guide that can easily be modified
and adapted to each skater's individual vision for their ramp. Kiah
and his friends are loving it!!!

Thanks,

Genevieve

Hi Brandon -

We built a big fine ramp from your directions. Worked well – couldn’t have asked for more. Clear assembly directions, clear materials list, and I’m a computer guy – definitely not handy with tools that require more than typing. Alas, we moved and had to tear down the ramp, and our boarder is older and not into ramps anymore. But, I can certainly recommend "The Beginners Guide To Building Ramps".

Thanks...

- Michael
